Amosun, Fashola, Kufour for Soyinka awards


Governor Ibikunle Amosun, his Lagos State counterpart Governor Babatunde Fashola and former Ghananian President John Kufour are among dignitries expected at the grand awards night of the Wole Soyinka Prize for Literature in Africa holding on September 8 at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.
 
Masked musician, Lagbaja will lead other top artists that will entertain at the event.

A statement by the organisers said of the four hundred and two (402) entries from 26 African countries assessed, three short-listed candidates for the grand finale would be announced on August 28 by the board of trustees of the awards.

The awards, which is in its  fourth edition this year is sponsored by telecom giant, Globacom
