Amosun restates commitment to develop Ogun

OGUN State governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has reiterated the determination of his administration to faithfully implement its programmes of development for the state.

Amosun gave the assurance, on Sunday, during this year’s Eid-el-fitri celebration at the Lantoro Prayer Ground, Abeokuta, the state capital.

While congratulating
Muslims on the successful completion of Ramadan, the governor assured residents of continued implementation of programmes and policies that would develop the state.

In his sermon, the Chief Imam of Egbaland, Alhaji Liadi Orunsolu, enjoined Muslims to sustain the good virtues imbibed during the Holy month of Ramadan and not go back to sins in order to continue to enjoy the blessings of Allah.

He described Governor Amosun as a source of blessings to the state.

The Alakija of Ikija, Chief Samson Ayorinde and a former military administrator of Bauchi State, Rasheed Raji, were among the faithful who attended the Eid-el-fitri prayer.

Meanwhile, former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Sunday, visited Governor Amosun in his family house in celebration of the Eid-el-fitri. He expressed best wishes to the governor and the people of Ogun State.
