Communities Petition IGP Over Activities of Land Grabbers

Worried by the activities of land grabbers that invaded their communities, residents of Alapoti, Olorunkole, Olorunsola and two others, have petitioned the Inspector General of Police(IGP) Muhammed Abubakir and the Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun to urgently help in curbing the activities of the land grabbers that continue to invade their towns daily.

According to the petition signed by the Baales of the five communities, they called on the Governor to urgently look into the recklessness of the land grabbers who continued to harass and destroy their properties at will.

The petitioners stated, “we have been living in the communities for decades now until the land speculators invaded our communities and now we are living in fear of being attacked by hoodlums and land speculators with the connivance of some  armed policemen”.

The villagers who while reading the copy of the petition to news men at Alapoti in Ado Odo area of Ogun State cried that their land had been confiscated  lamented  that they would soon lose their farmland to land speculators.
