2015: Ex-Ogun Deputy Gov, Ogunleye, Picks PDP Gov's Form.

THE rank of governorship aspirants in Ogun State increased on Monday, as former deputy governor to Chief Olusegun Osoba in the aborted Third Republic, Alhaji Rafiu Ogunleye, picked the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) nomination form in Abuja.

Ogunleye joined Honourable Abiodun Akinlade, who picked the PDP nomination form in Abuja, last week.

Alhaji Ogunleye, who defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the PDP at an elaborate rally last year, said his inclusion in the governorship race was borne out of his desire to rescue the state from the maladministration foisted on the Gateway State by the APC.

He maintained that with the abundance of human and mineral resources God endowed the state with and now that it had become a destination of choice for investors across the world, there was need to strike a balance by voting in an experience politician of his status, who would create wealth and turn the state’s economy around.

“Without being immodest, I remain the most qualified among my fellow aspirants and I think Ogun State deserves better than what we are witnessing now under the APC, a government without human face.
